It’s a Hard Knock Life

The past few days have been hell for me.

I didn’t think I could realize so many things in such a small amount of time.

I totaled my car; moved out of my home; lost one of my best friends of four years; and mother nature decided to pay me a visit!

All I could think is how am I going to make it through, this has to be the end until I realized the upside to it all.

1. It’s okay to be alone. Learning to live on your own is what brings you to your senses and gives you wisdom. I moved in with two of my good guy friends and I don’t think I could love it any more than I already do. I love my job, I love me, and I love sleeping in a queen size bed with two cats.

2. Underlying friends exist. As shitty as this day was I know I’ll make it through because I’m lying on a bed smiling while listening to my friend Seth play Ukulele. I rehashed relationships that I didn’t even know existed any longer. These are the people who said forever 10 years ago and didn’t even know they meant it.

3. Never give up. One of the cutest boys I’ve ever come to know once told me “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” And one of the cutest girls said, “keep them because they’re free.”
Well shit, life handed me a glass of lemon juice and guess what I’m gonna add some amaretto and call it a sour.

Because guess what, my life freaking rocks, I love every single bit, every single moment, and to be honest amaretto sours are the only way to celebrate!

So when you get your week from hell and you think this literally can’t get any worse, take a look around and think how blessed you are to be alive. Think about the people you have and places you’re going. You don’t need anybody to have a good time, to be happy.

It’s a hard knock life, get over it!

See you soon,
