Having a Brother Makes You a Better Lover

So I hear your brother is your first love…

I didn’t have a brother until 9 months ago.

The nine months of him being in my mom’s belly were a group of months that I secretly thought he was going to be the biggest toll on our family. The biggest mistake…

I have a younger sister who is autistic and grew up as the definition of tom-boy so I never had to worry about anyone getting into my makeup or waking me up at 5 a.m. to do her hair and makeup. She was the little brother I never had…

I didn’t exactly grow up with a father. Instead, 4 amazing uncles, two grandfathers, a mom who never quit, and a perfect sister who is 7 years younger than me.

Although she is obviously a girl, she was the best example of a little brother I had for the longest time. And as weird as it sounds I truly think she was my first love. She’s beautiful and smart and hilarious and more honest than I can handle sometimes. I love her more than life and I have no idea what I would do without her.

When my brother was born my heart hurt. I didn’t even know this tiny person and yet it was love at first sight. He was perfect and beautiful and smart and hilarious and he was all mine!

People ask me constantly if he is my son and it doesn’t even bother me anymore because I am so proud to be related to this human. His existence makes me so happy and when he kisses me and holds my hand, my heart melts. It’s like he doesn’t know my personality and has not gained one of his own yet but I know that whoever I marry needs to have the personality of my brother and sister combined. These two taught me how to love and how to be so proud of who I love.

My brother made me a better lover, and my sister… well, I’m now woken up at 5 a.m. for hair and makeup, and I love every second of it!

Take in your siblings and Love them your hardest because in the end, they will teach you just what love is. If you don’t, “it’s fine”, you’ll figure it all out on your own!

See you soon,

Rocky
